Joshua Welch
Joshua Welch was born in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1979. Joshua comes from a family of gospel preachers with a grandfather (Robert), father (John), uncle (Robert Hines) and cousin (John Hines) who all have served as preachers and elders of churches throughout the United States. Joshua has one sister, a twin brother and a younger brother; Elizabeth Ruwe, David and Nathanael. He has been married since 2002 to Johnna Welch and they have three children together—Samuel (2003), Zoe (2005), and Hadassah (2007) who are also disciples of Jesus. Joshua has a degree in English Education after attending IUPUI while also qualifying nationally on their collegiate Forensics (Speech) team. Joshua has done gospel meeting and lectureship work in Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Nevada, Ohio, New York, Tennessee, Texas, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.
He has taken two overseas preaching trips to the island of Barbados and has more overseas trips planned. In addition, he has hosted call-in radio programs for the churches in Indianapolis and Kokomo and now works as associate editor of Faith and Facts Quarterly. He has been a contributing author to several publications and recently published his first book through Spiritbuilding Publishing. Joshua began working as the full-time evangelist at the Courtland Avenue Church of Christ in Kokomo, Indiana and preached there from 2002-2017. He also labored as an evangelist with the Laurel Canyon Church of Christ in Columbus, Ohio from 2018-2021. He has begun his work with the Anderson Church of Christ in Anderson, Indiana in April of 2021.
